Email from the Pastor - Sunday, February 24

Hi Church!
It is already the final Sunday in February. That means that on Sunday evening we will be holding our Annual Walk through Black History program. The show is very close to being sold out or whatever one would say about free tickets.
This upcoming Friday, not tonight, will be the first of March. It will be a movie night here at FBC. We have decided to break the movie: "King: A Filmed Record ..." into two parts to be shown on consecutive Friday evenings.
This week at worship we will step into one of the hardest texts to be found in the teachings of Jesus. Luke 6:27-38. The sermon title is "Be Holy." Don't forget the discipleship classes that meet Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.
Lastly, I want to remind everyone and invite you to participate in the special Lenten study of Philippians using the text "Because of this I Rejoice." There will be a sign-up in the foyer for participants. The study will meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00. It begins on Ash Wednesday [March 6 to April 17]. Sign-up or send me an email. I want to make sure we have enough materials.
In Christ,
Rev. Timothy Bees

The performance starts at 6PM.  There will be refreshments after the play.

Save the date, February 24th for this once-only event!
