Prayer Updates from Bangkok
Prayer:
Please continue to pray for sales and financial provision to keep the women employed and increase to employ all those who apply to leave prostitution.
Pray for the government of Thailand to have wisdom. One of the members of the parliament is pushing for legalization of prostitution. Pray this does not happen but instead Thailand will begin to shut these places down and provide alternative sources of income.
Praises:
After surveying the women on the street, we discovered that food is still a basic and essential need. We continue to give 200 bags of food a week to these women. One woman who came in recently said, “This food you give is son helpful and important. Some day I would like to pay you back. Getting this food once a day has made a difference for me.”
We have been able to open our salon again to service the women from the streets as well as give food. It is wonderful to be able to offer this oasis to the women again and have the opportunity to bless them.

Board Seeking Treasurer
Since IBM announced that they would be leaving Dubuque, one of our members was forced to make a decision. Andrew Christiansen, our current Treasurer, has decided to retain his job at IBM and relocate to Missouri. That leaves an opening on the board for a Treasurer. To fill this position, you will need [1] to be a member of the church, [2] able to use accounting software to keep the church books current, [3] generate monthly status reports, and [4] attend monthly Board Meetings. If you think you can lend a hand please contact either our Moderator, Ron Brass [563-588-2710] or the Pastor [563-582-5088].
Operation Christmas Child
FBC Shoppers, here are the necessities we need to fill 250 shoeboxes – we filled more than 200 at last year’s packing party:
We could still use other items, including tool kits for older boys, flip flops and water bottles for all ages, and crayons and other school supplies. We have over 300 washcloths, 250 stuffed animals and tons of toys, so thank you again for your help! If you have any shopping or donation questions, please call Kylie Loeffelholz at 563-543-4073.
