Update: Christmas Eve Service

We are planning on holding a “drop in” service on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Our hope is by spreading out the service this way, everyone can participate during one of the segments in a safe environment. Masks and social distancing will still be in effect. The evening will have scripture reading, songs, silent meditation and prayer. It is not designed for people to attend for the whole 2.5 hours. These plans are still in flux, but we wanted to communicate what we were thinking.

Christmas Day Service

This service is on again! It will be on Christmas Day at 10:00 a.m.

Westminster Hunger Outreach

Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2155 University Ave at Loras Blvd. will be conducting a drive-thru food distribution on Saturday, December 19th in partnership with the St. Stephen's Branch of River Bend Food Bank. Volunteers are needed to: greet car occupants as they arrive and direct them to the proper areas [they do not get out of their cars] and/or carry food boxes that are already packed to the car trunks. Food boxes have been prepacked by St Stephens. If you would like to help with this food outreach activity or have any questions, please email Linda at

Retired Ministers & Missionaries Offering

During the month of December we will be collecting for our denomination’s Retired Ministers and Missionaries. This offering assists retired missionaries and ministers. Many of these people need help and your gift can make a difference. Our goal this year is $750.

New Daily Breads Available in the Foyer

Contact Linda if you would like one mailed to you.

Prayer Updates from Bangkok

  • Pray for two Central Asian, two children and one Russian waiting to go home. There are no direct flights and other airlines won’t take deportees, so we are stuck waiting to find a way for them to go home. We will need to pay steep fines for their over stay as well as their tickets home.
  • Pray for funding for the foundation. Donations are down and yet the needs are greater than ever. Pray for the resources to keep the women employed and to support others who are in our programs.
  • Pray for women at NightLight who are in the process of receiving deliverance ministry. There is so much in their own and their family history of idolatry, rituals, and covenants. It takes several sessions to get the breakthrough to sufficient freedom.
