AMERICA FOR CHRIST OFFERING 2021

Our America for Christ campaign focuses on our discipleship and leadership empowerment ministries, which nurture the faithful followers who find their call and life’s work as the hands and feet of Christ.

ABHMS’ Discipleship Ministries sends more than 5,000 Discipleship and Christian Education guides to regions, churches, and individuals annually and provides 62 Church Life and Leadership workshops in English, Spanish, French, and Karen, available for download at abhms.org. On average more than 1,000 Bible studies - ranging in subjects from stewardship and eco-justice to children in poverty - are distributed each year, and in 2019, several hundred American Baptists attended discipleship workshops addressing the church’s viability in these changing times.

Prayer Updates from Bangkok

Hopefully, the season of COVID impact is waning. I believe this is a transition time in preparation for a new season. God is doing a new thing, and it is time to clear out the old, renovate, and make way for the new. A season of expansion and celebration is around the corner, and we eagerly await. As we wait, we prepare the way in our hearts, our ministry, and our facilities. We invite you to join us in praying for and declaring the new things of God for this next season.

PRAISES:

  • We are starting renovations on the production and office buildings. After 15 years, they are in dire need of repair and renovation. We will do room expansions for more efficiency. It has been exciting to clear out the old as we make room for the new. A new season is coming!
  • A church provided rent money for our temporary facility. The move took place last week, and the women are happily continuing production.
