Lenten Prayer of Confession [4th week of Lent]

Lent is a time of humble recognition that we have strayed from God in our hearts and that we need to return to the one who loves us beyond measure. Each week throughout Lent I will print a prayer of confession to help us on our journey with God.

O Lord, if you held our sins against us,

Who could live, who could stand?

We seem to have more faith in death

than hope in your promise of life.

We seek peace through war

And find security in weapons.

We abandon the hungry, sick, and dying,

And pursue wealth by making others poor.

And even so, you love us;

Still there is forgiveness with you!

Therefore we worship you;

For you alone, O Lord,

Can save us from death

And redeem us from our sin. Amen.

April Movie Night [4.12.19]

April’s movie has a religious theme. It stars Jim Caviezel as the Apostle Paul, perhaps making him the only actor to appear in film portraying two of the New Testament’s most influential people: Paul and Jesus. The movie tracks Paul from be a religious persecutor of the church to becoming its most influential apostle. Movie starts at 6;30 p.m.

A Litany of Trust [Genesis 15:1-12]

By the Elementary and Middle School Sunday School Class

Because God loves me,

I can trust Him.

Because God cares for me,

I can trust Him.

Because God listens to me,

I can trust Him.

Because God knows what I need,

I can trust Him.

Because God knows the way,

I can trust Him.
