Fourth Sunday of Easter

May 3-10

Watchword for the week:

“Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.” John 10:9

The watchword is meant to be with you through the week encouraging you, challenging you and bringing you closer to your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The newest information we have dealing with the COVID-19 Virus and our governing authorities’ suggestions, points us toward a careful and safe process of deciding when it will be safe to gather again.

One Great Hour of Sharing [COVID-19]

As the United States and the globe deal with the death and devastation wrought by the coronavirus, American Baptist Home Societies [ABHMS] and International Ministries [IM], also known as the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society – on behalf of American Baptist Churches USA – seek One Great Hour of Sharing [OGHS] COVID emergency support to help families, churches and communities fid relief and recovery across the United States, Puerto Rico and countries around the world served by IM.

Donations to ABHMS’ OGHS appeal will assist in immediate needs, such as unemployment or loss of income, housing, hunger and access healthcare. Donations will also fund programs supporting well-being and mental health of faith leaders, congregations and communities.

To give to OGHS COVID Response, donations can be made through the church [put OGHS COVID in the memo], or by check payable to American Baptist Home Mission Societies and mailed to the attention of Leda Carter at American Baptist Home Mission Societies, 1075 First Ave., King of Prussia, PA 19406. Write “OGHS-COVID Recovery: US & PR” on the memo line.
