Weekly Scripture Meditation:
We are inviting the Church as a whole to participate in reading and meditating on the lectionary texts for the upcoming Sunday. The texts for Sunday, January 27, 2019 are as follows: Luke 4:14-21; Nehemiah 8:1-3, 5-6, 8-10; Psalm 19; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31a. The verse in bold will be the sermon text for that Sunday. The theme is “Shaped by God’s Word.”
Walk Through Black History
It’s January and that means that our annual WTBH is just around the corner. This year’s edition will examine the “Loving’s,” an interracial couple who were married when it wasn’t legal to be interracially married. The program will be on February 24. Please set aside that evening so you can attend this special FBC event.
