Second Sunday after Pentecost
WATCHWORD FOR THE WEEK:
“The Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 100:5
“O God our Father, renew our spirits and draw our hearts to thyself, that our work may not be to us a burden but a delight; and give us such love to thee as may sweeten all our obedience. Help us that we may serve thee with cheerfulness and gladness of children, delighting ourselves in thee and rejoicing in all that is to the honor of thy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Prayer Updates from Bangkok
Our hearts ache for the pain that is evident throughout the world. The bad news can feel overwhelming, and so many find it hard to hold on to hope or to find their footing again. We join all of you in praying for an end to COVID-19, for comfort in grief, for the economy to come back strong, and for love, justice, and reconciliation to take the lead.
The verse that spoke to me this morning was “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength and with all your mind: and love your neighbor as yourself.” [Luke 10:27] If we do the first part, I think the second part comes more naturally. Loving God fully manifests in our loving our neighbor whom God created and cherishes.
Thank you for praying for our needs here in Bangkok. We may not be next door neighbors, but we feel your love through your prayer and support. When you take time to pray for us in the midst of all that is going on, we are truly blessed.
We are grateful that the virus is no longer spreading in Thailand and none of our women or staff were infected.

20 Prayers to Pray During the Pandemic
4. For first responders and frontline health care workers, especially in epicenters of infection: God reinforce their ranks and strengthen them with supernatural energy.
5. For companies with the ability [and the mandate] to manufacture much-needed protective equipment for our frontline health care workers: God, establish the work of their hands.
6. For transit workers, police officers, and other public servants working tirelessly, often without adequate protection: God give them stamina for every day and keep them from falling ill.

VBS is not cancelled!
This year our weekend [Friday-Saturday] VBS will be held virtually on June 19-20. We are going to use Group’s “Anchored” Curriculum. There will be a take-home bag of activities and we will plan on doing some zooms as well. Please contact Christine Quintana at 563-583-4623 or email@example.com to register. Please be in prayer for VBS as we explore learning in a new way!
