Fourth Sunday in Lent
WATCHWORD FOR THE WEEK:
“By grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8
“Lord God, you who are the source of all truth, wisdom, justice, and love, lead us through this time of worship and throughout this day of service to you. Help us constantly to rest our lives upon the eternal foundations of your love and presence. Save us from haste and confusion, from wrongful desire, and the net of evil. Through the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, enlighten, instruct, and guide us all day long. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

AMERICA FOR CHRIST OFFERING 2021
Our America for Christ campaign focuses on our discipleship and leadership empowerment ministries, which nurture the faithful followers who find their call and life’s work as the hands and feet of Christ.
ABHMS’ Discipleship Ministries sends more than 5,000 Discipleship and Christian Education guides to regions, churches, and individuals annually and provides 62 Church Life and Leadership workshops in English, Spanish, French, and Karen, available for download at abhms.org. On average more than 1,000 Bible studies - ranging in subjects from stewardship and eco-justice to children in poverty - are distributed each year, and in 2019, several hundred American Baptists attended discipleship workshops addressing the church’s viability in these changing times.

Pastor Search Update
Wednesday night we officially started the process toward choosing a new Pastor. The Pastoral Relations Committee submitted the names of people to serve on the “Pulpit Committee.” Those people will be contacted over the coming days and then those who agree to serve, will be submitted to the Board and then to the congregation as a whole. Please keep this process and the people in prayer. The future ministry of FBC is counting on it.
