Advent Study

Christmas can be such a chaotic time. This year will be different because of covid. I would like to invite you to slow down and spend some time meditating on scripture during the advent season which begins November 29th. Using a book entitled “Advent For Everyone: A Journey With The Apostles,” as a daily guide, we will explore advent texts to prepare our hearts for Christmas.

Our class will meet virtually on Sunday’s at 6:30 p.m. beginning on December 6. Each Sunday evening we will review the previous week’s texts and discuss them. Plan on an hour for each meeting.

We will meet December 6, 13, 20, and 27th. Please email me, revbees@yahoo.com of your intent.

Westminster Hunger Outreach

Westminster Presbyterian Church will be conducting a drive-thru food distribution on Saturday, December 19th in partnership with the St. Stephen's Branch of River Bend Food Bank. Volunteers are needed to: greet car occupants as they arrive and direct them to the proper areas [they do not get out of their cars] and/or carry food boxes that are already packed to the car trunks. Food boxes have been prepacked by St Stephens. If you would like to help with this food outreach activity or have any questions, please email Linda at lindalouise63@yahoo.com.

Hot beverages will be available and outside volunteers will rotate with inside volunteers.
