One more Day!

Monday morning is the last day of collection week. We will be open to receive shoe boxes from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. Some churches will wait until the last possible moment to bring their supply. Monday morning is potentially very busy, since we have to finalize counts, load everything received since Saturday, and clean up. Keep us in prayer, and if you can set aside that time and help out, that would be nice.

Our Daily Bread

The December, January, February issue of “Our Daily Bread” is now available for free in the foyer. This handy guide to the Bible allows the reader to pause each day and think upon the things of God. It is a simple devotional that will bring you blessings.

Weekly Scripture Meditation:

Beginning in September we wedded the discipleship program with the worship service by concentrating on the same scripture[s] across all platforms. This is all well and good for those who attend discipleship events, but what about those, who for various reasons are not able to do so? Well, beginning this week we are inviting you into the conversation too. Here’s how it works. The Scriptures assigned for Sunday, November 25 are as follows:

2 Samuel 23:1-7

Psalm 132:1-12, 13-18

Revelation 1:4b-8

John 18:33-37

Each of these texts are supposed to be connected in theme. The gospel text or whichever text is in BOLD will be the foundation for that Sunday’s discipleship and sermon.

I want to suggest that you read the Mark passage slowly each day of the week prior to that Sunday. I believe that will prepare your head and heart to receive what God would wish to communicate to you in the Sunday service. Try it. Pray before you read. Give thanks to God after you have read. Perhaps it could even stoke some ideas for prayer following your reading. Why not grab a journal and keep track of what goes on in your heart while reading? Just a suggestion. Blessings!

Gratitude Night [11.18.18]

On Sunday, November 18, that’s this coming Sunday, we will come together and give thanks for God’s goodness toward us in 2018. We will begin with a worship service in the sanctuary at 6:00 p.m. After that we will move downstairs for a delicious meal and a great time of fellowship and chit-chat. Please make plans for attending this wonderful yearly event. Let us know your plans by emailing Pastor Tim at revbees@yahoo.com. Tell us how many will be in your party. Blessings!

December Movie [12.14.2018]

This will be our last movie of 2018. We close out another successful year of movie watching by showing “Paul: Apostle of Christ.” This story covers Paul’s journey from being the most infamous persecutor of the Church to becoming Jesus Christ’s most influential Apostle. Movie begins at 6:30 p.m. and the popcorn and water are always free.
