Wartburg Used Book Sale [11.7,8,9]

The Reu Memorial Library will be holding a used book sale. Most paperback books will be priced at 25 cents, and most hard covers at 50 cents. Selected books will be priced higher. Sealed bids will be accepted on several sets of commentaries and larger works. Hours are:

Wednesday [11.7] 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Thursday [11.8] 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Friday [11.9] 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The book sale will be closed all days from 9:25 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. for chapel service. The sale is open to the public.

 

FBC November Movie Night [11.9.18]

The world was astounded when Willie Wonka, for years a recluse in his factory, announces that five lucky people will be given a tour of the factory, shown all the secrets of his amazing candy, and one will win a lifetime supply of Wonka chocolate. Nobody wants the prize more than young Charlie, but his family is so poor that even buying one bar of chocolate is a treat, buying enough bars to find one of the five gold tickets is unlikely in the extreme. But in movieland, magic an happen. Charlie, along with four somewhat odious other children, win the chance of a lifetime. During the tour, mild disasters befall each of the winners, but can Charlie beat the odds and grab the brass ring? Join us at 6:30 p.m. Free popcorn and water.

 

OCC Packing Party [11.11.18]

Join us on Sunday, November 11 from 4-6 p.m. for our annual Operation Christmas Child Packing Party. All ages are welcome for a festive night full of prayer, packing, and pizza. Thanks to all our generous donations, our goal is to pack 150 boxes! Wear your ugly Christmas sweater or Christmas PJ’s – there will prizes for the best outfits. Meet us in the church basement and be ready to rock to Christmas tunes as we pack the night away.

Collection week for OCC is November 12-19. The hours we will be open to collect shoe box gifts are as follows:

Big Church Night Out [11.17.18]

Little Caesars is presenting a concert at Five Flags Center on Saturday evening, November 17 at 6 p.m. The concert features: Jordan Feliz, Crowder, Sarah Reeves, Illusionist Brock Gill and worship with Jamison Strain. Gratitude Night [11.18.18]

On Sunday, November 18 we will come together and give thanks for God’s goodness toward us in 2018. We will begin with a worship service in the sanctuary at 6:00 p.m. After that we will move downstairs for a delicious meal and a great time of fellowship and chit-chat. Please make plans for attending this wonderful yearly event.
