World Mission Offering – 31 Days of Prayer

19. Lord, give us your eyes, to see "everything clearly" in the wake of COVID-19, and your heart to serve your world, to the glory of Jesus. [Stan Glade, Global]

20. Pray for us in our new mission assignment as spiritual caregivers ministering to IM's global servants in Soul Care, Self-Care, and Community Care. Pray for global servants to thrive in their ministry contexts. [David & Joyce Reed, Global]

21. Join us in prayer as we envision our next term of service with International Ministries so that God's will is done on earth as it is in heaven. [Peter & Sarah McCurdy, Mexico]

22. Lord, open your eyes of our hearts and spirits that we may see our neighbors through your eyes and love them as you do. [Carlos Bonilla & Mayra Giovanetti, Columbia]

23. Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Amid the conflicts around us may we show we are your children by being peacemakers [Matthew 5:9]. Begin in our hearts, so we may bring grace to our neighbors and even our enemies. [Daniel Buttry, Global]

24. Loving God, open our eyes to see the world through your eyes. Help us to be bold in faith that we may be your light of hope to children in Bolivia. [Sarah Nash, Bolivia]

25. Father God, fill me with your perfect love and drive out all fear so I may respond to people and situations with the assurance that I can trust you in all things. [Annie Dieselberg, Thailand]

FBC Shoppers, here are the necessities we need to fill 250 shoeboxes – we filled more than 200 at last year’s packing party:

  • Bars of Soap
  • Combs or Brushes
  • Toothbrushes
  • First Aid Kits
  • Pencils and Sharpeners

We could still use other items, including tool kits for older boys, flip flops and water bottles for all ages, and crayons and other school supplies. Kylie Loeffelholz at 563-543-4073.

Quarterly Church Summit [11.8.2020]

Our next quarterly church summit will be held after worship on Sunday, November 8. Please make plans to attend. For those of you who have health issues that would preclude your attendance, we are exploring the option of having you attend through Zoom meeting. We are looking in to how to do that for this application.

We had a really good medical clinic in September with 19 women and men coming in. There were 4 Internationals and the rest were Thai. We are so grateful for the Thai doctors from an international hospital who came to serve.

The new believer who was dealing with a violent boyfriend was finally able to break away and is now safe.

The first training class for hair dressing just finished and went really well. The women who completed the class is now practicing in the salon with the women who came in from the street.
